I put Environ Focus Care™ to the test on tired, dry skin

I trialed Environ Focus Care™ for a month and the results surprised me.

When it comes to my skin, I strongly believe that the best defense is a good offense. Why try and correct damage and aging when it’s already happened? I want to be proactively preventing it…as much as I humanly can.

I’m not one for drinking bucket-loads of water because I always forget, but I do make sure my skincare has an SPF factor, and an anti-aging component. It’s also got to be simple. I can’t be faffing around in the morning with 300 different lotions. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

When Rubybox got in touch with me to ask if I’d be keen on trialing three Environ products, I physically jumped at the opportunity, keen to rub some life into my face again. The Canvas

I’ve have good skin, free from breakouts except for the occasional spot I get when my period is due. It’s very dry though. I have quite large, visible pores which, when I’m hot and red-faced, make me look a little like a strawberry. Having just had another baby, the sleepless nights have taken their toll on my face. I’m looking a little waxen and dull. If Casper The Friendly Ghost rocked up, you might not be able to tell whose who. Therefore, when I read about what these products said they could do, I wanted to see the following difference:

• I need to my skin to be hydrated and plumper – no more sunken pits around my eyes please.
• An even skin tone would be a delight.
• Fresher, more youthful complexion or else.

No pressure!

The results

I’ll be completely honest, I was almost rooting for it to fail. I know, what’s the point in that Shante? The reason was partially two-fold 1) the products are a lot more money than I would usually spend on my face and 2) It’s so difficult trying to persuade people that a product really worked when we all seem programmed to be cynical over anything that gets shared by bloggers. So to try and make this sound as genuine as possible, let me start with what I wasn’t too keen on: I wasn’t mad about the consistency of the Focus Care™ Youth+ Avance Elixir (it’s a clear serum) and the masque slightly burned the first few times I used it…but maaan did it make my skin look amazing.

However, I can’t deny that my skin looks FABULOUS. Honestly, my husband keeps commenting on it. I keep commenting on it. Even after waking up in the morning after a rough night, my skin looks as though I’ve just clapped a 9 hour rest in the Bahamas. I can see a dramatic decrease in the size of my pores too!

The oil capsules were incredible, they sunk into my skin beautifully and weren’t greasy at all. All 3 products were easily incorporated into my daily routine which, isn’t very intensive; In the morning, I wash my face with water in the shower. Groundbreaking right. I then apply the Elixir, followed by my moisturizer. In the evenings I remove my makeup (when I remember) and apply the masque (twice a week) followed by a moisturizer. I use the oil capsules twice a week in the evenings in place of my moisturizer.

But don’t read my word for it, what do you think? Can you see the difference or is it all in my head?

The all-important question is….would I buy the products?

I want to say yes, because they have worked for me and I’m terrified of what happens when the products run out. BUT, pricing-wise, it’s far more than I would usually pay but this route was always eventually going to happen,  you can’t just slather on a commercial, retail product and expect it to be as powerful as scientific skincare products. I’m just grateful that I’ve had the chance to try them.
