Back in the days of no babies, endless evenings and an insatiable appetite for finding new wines that floated my boat, I was always mega impressed by the events planned by the Wade Bales Wine Society. I’m not a fan of mass wine events, the idea of fighting for a minuscule tasting whilst having to smile politely as a wine maker attempts to talk about balling to a drunk audience is less than amusing…Which is why I enjoy the selection, the relaxed atmosphere and the mountains of great snacks that Wade Bales lays on at his events. And you can too at the The Wade Bales Cap Classique and Gin Affair!
What better way to celebrate the start of Spring than by enjoying it on a private beach, sipping the finest bubbly and sampling the coolest craft spirits.
With over 50 of South Africa’s premium MCC’s awaiting you (all made in the traditional Methode Champenoise style), you’ll get to enjoy the likes of Graham Beck, Steenberg, Simonsig, Villiera, Krone, Constantia Uitsig and Silverthorn to name a few.
Then taste and celebrate with the fastest growing spirit in the world, gin, with local producers present to share their knowledge and unique insights into what makes their particular tipple irresistible.
Taking place at the Grand Africa Café & Beach in Granger Bay. Spectacular views, great music and the feeling of sand between your toes, makes for a stylish and sophisticated experience.
“We want to showcase the best South Africa has to offer and recognise the world-class quality produced in our country. This is the right time, the right place and the right people – and is going to be a celebration you don’t want to miss!” Comments Wade Bales
I’ll be there on Friday, 6 October (from 4-8 PM) so come and say cheers!
Alternatively, you can do Saturday, 7 October from 3-7 PM.
Tickets are available via Quicket at R290 per person. This includes a complimentary Champagne glass, unlimited access to all MCC and gin products featured on the day, as well as 6 fresh oysters to round off the occasion. Additional Sushi and Pizza will be for sale on the day from The Grand.
Go on son!
